An explosion was created by a build-up of flammable fumes which caused parts of the manufacturing plant to be engulfed by smoke and flames. This combination resulted in severe damage to the block walls and steel roof joists which needed to be rebuilt and replaced. As some areas of the plant remained operational, containments and hoarding walls were immediately assembled. Integricon’s biggest obstacle and achievement with this project was our ability to quickly and effectively turnover the damaged areas into finished ones. This meant tearing down and rebuilding hoarding walls to separate the finished areas from the construction zone. The hoarding walls were built air tight to ensure the plant was kept clean from dust, dirt and contaminants so that there was no business interruption.
